Mint mobile is a MVNO that runs off of the T-Mobile network. Plans on Mint mobile are sold by prepaying three, six, and twelve months. The more you are willing to prepay, the more you are able to save.

Currently, Mint Mobile has an introductory rate of $15.00 a month or $45.00 total when you prepay for three months. The regular price for the three month plan is priced at $25.00 / month. The $15.00 plan is also available if you prepay for twelve months.

Red Pocket

Red Pocket is a MVNO that allows you to choose which carrier wish to have service from at the time you sign up for service. They don’t explicitly state which carrier you are choosing but the colors and names correspond to the carriers cell technology and branding colors. Just in case, we’ve provided a list below of the carriers we believe each plan to correspond with.

The 1GB monthly plan from RedPocket is $15.00 a month and includes 1000 minutes, unlimited text and 1 GB of data. There is also free international calling to up to 70 countries.

Does Red Pocket offer Visual Voicemail (VMM)?

Red pocket offers visual voicemail but its availability is based on the device and network you choose.

Unlimited text and minutes can be added for an additional monthly cost ranging from $1.00 to $4.00 a month. Unlimited text, talk and 1GB of data on Tello is $10.00. Tello includes calling to China, Mexico and Canada.

Things to know:

Tello does not officially support VoLTE or Visual Voicemail. WiFi calling is available through the Tello app but it is not free. It will use your minutes.

Teltik

Teltik operates off the T-Mobile network. One benefit to Teltik is that it is treated with a higher priority than many MVNOs. You need to qualify as a business in order to sign up for Teltik. They accept sole proprietors and we’ve heard that people who sell on places like eBay can qualify.

Cost

Teltik has a 2 GB / month plan for $20.00 which includes unlimited text, talk and data (2gb at LTE). It also includes unlimited music streaming.

US Mobile is a MVNO operator who offers prepaid cellular services using either coverage provided by the two largest networks. They don’t mention which networks those are but they thought to be Verizon or T-Mobile. They offer flexibility in that you can build a plan purchasing your text, data, and voice coverage separately. For this comparison, we are looking at an US Mobile plan that offers unlimited text, voice and 1.5 GB of data and costs $20.00 a month before taxes and fees.

Networks:

While US Mobile does not specifically specify whose network your coverage will be provided by when you sign up for their service, many believe that the Super LTE Network is running on top of Verizon and that their GSM LTE Network operates over T-Mobile.
